SMASH PALACE emerged from the rubble after our old bar - GOODBYE BLUE MONDAY - fell down in the 2011 Christchurch earthquakes. SMASH PALACE was located on Victoria Street for a couple of years before moving to the current location on High Street.
We love our burgers at Smash Palace. Not too flash. Just great produce cooked well. We hope you like them.
We also loooove beer. Nothing too pretentious mind you. Just good beer, well crafted and served nice ‘n’ cold in a proper pint.
We are a courtyard bar that loves dogs and cant be beat on a sunny Christchurch day.
Smash Palace is a family business and we are proud of the community we have created. The bar has become an important focal point in many local’s lives. It’s not just a place to drink beer (although it’s great for that), it’s a place to meet the local community and participate in the New Christchurch.
